Quality Policy

The quality policy of ARUP Alu-Rohr und Profil GmbH is based on the following principles:

Focus on the requirements of internal and external customers
Quality takes precedence

Quality Management / Certification
ARUP GmbH adheres to internationally recognized automotive quality standards.

Quality management certification according to ISO/TS 16949: 2002, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 as well as results of customer audits confirm the company's high quality standard.

"Quality is achieved at the production stage, not at the testing stage."

This maxim is firmly incorporated into our activities in the form of procedure specifications. The certificates apply to our full range of products and are valid until June 2004.





Product Quality
To meet the highest quality requirements and expectations of our customers, we set high internal standards for the methods used in developing products and processes according to QS-9000 manuals. The following are examples of methods and systems employed at ARUP GmbH:

- APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning / Control Plan)
- CAD (Computer Aided Design)
- CAQ (Computer Aided Quality)
- EddyChek with LAB5 technology
- FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
- PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
- SPC (Statistical Process Control)

As a further contribution to continous quality improvement, we aim to ensure that potential weak points are eliminated at the earliest possible stage in each phase of process development.


Material
ARUP only purchases strip material of the highest quality from internationally recognized suppliers who are subject to regular quality and process audits.
All material is ordered in complete accordance with the individual customer's needs, requirements and specifications.
Quality of strip material received is constantly monitored and verified by clearly defined receipt inspection routines before releasing it to the production process.
